What to Do In NYC This Spring
Spring is almost here and we're ready to put away the heavy coats and come out of hibernation! We're hitting the streets of New York City to explore new attractions and revisit a few of our favorites as well. These are our picks for things to do in the City that Never Sleeps.
Spring in Central Park
Stop and Smell the Flowers
The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden is a New York City must-see staple, and for good reason. Each year, thousands of colorful orchids wow visitors in captivating installations and designs. This year, Jeff Leatham's Kaleidoscope features overhead arches, vine-inspired ribbons, mirrored sculptures, and dramatic lighting to create the visual effect of a turn of a kaleidoscope. Also at NYBG this spring is Yayoi Kusama's highly-anticipated Kusama: Cosmic Nature. The exclusive installation will feature Kusama's multifaceted art across NYBG's 250-acre landmark landscape and buildings in the way of paintings, sculptures, and an infinity mirrored room.

Experience Life on the Edge
Opening to the public on March 11th, Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. New York City's newest observation deck is suspended in mid-air with amazing views and a thrilling glass floor that looks down 100 stories. Edge is located in New York's newest neighborhood, Hudson Yards, home to a diverse collection of shops, restaurants, public art installations, gardens, cultural institutions, and more.
NY Yankees Baseball
Go, Team, Go!
Enjoy one of New York’s many home-team sporting events, including the Yankees and Mets, starting as early as March 26. Non-sports fans and die-hards alike can enjoy what Yankee Stadium has to offer with their diverse food and beverage vendors including Bareburger, Ben and Jerry’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, City Winery and Benihana. Plus, we love how accessible Yankee Stadium is from Loews Regency New York, with just a quick 20-minute ride on the 4 train.
Coney Island Wonder Wheel
Day Trip to the Beach
Yes, it's true - New York City is home to many beaches! Coney Island, Rockaway Beach and Long Beach are all easily accessible by public transit, making a relaxing afternoon at the beach a breeze. We love ending the day at one of the many waterfront restaurants these beaches have to offer. And - to top it off, this year, the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island is celebrating its 100th birthday.

Central Park Activities
Rent a rowboat for two and set out on Central Park’s own 22-acre lake. You’ll pass by the famous Loeb Boathouse, Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, and the recognizable Bow Bridge – all for $15 per hour, and a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Starting in June and ending in September, get your dose of entertainment just blocks from our hotel at SummerStage in Central Park. While most shows are ticketed, there are a number of shows that are free throughout the season. Best part? It's just a 15-minute walk from Loews Regency New York. Whether you’re a major fan and want to be in the front row, or just there for a good time, there’s a spot for everyone.
