Margarita Recipes to Make You Forget It's Winter
Yes, it's still winter, and it still feels like it for many of us. But, there are some sunny pockets around the country where temperatures are warming up and the pool doesn't sound like such a crazy idea, after all. In honor of National Margarita Day, we've rounded up some of our most refreshing margarita recipes from Loews Hotels locations — each of them a place where the term "winter" is relative. Try whipping up one at home and you'll quickly forget what season it is.

“Ancho-Rita" Mezcal Margarita
This mezcal margarita is the perfect accompaniment at the pool — which is where you'll find it at Loews Coronado, on the menu at the poolside La Cantina, which reopens for the season on March 1st.
- 1½ oz Mezcal – Casamigos
- ¾ oz Ancho Reyes Verde (green chili liqueur)
- ½ oz lime juice
- ¾ oz agave nectar
- 4 medium cubes of pineapple to muddle
- 1 lime wheel for garnish
- Salt to taste for rimming glass
In a shaker, add agave, pineapple and lime juice.
Muddle pineapple until juice has been extracted from fruit.
Add Ancho Reyes liqueur, Mezcal and ice to shaker and shake until shaker is frosty on the outside.
