This May 3-5, 2024, the city will be buzzing with international events as it welcomes the 3rd annual Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix over the same weekend as Cinco de Mayo
Loews Miami Beach Hotel and Loews Coral Gables Hotel are celebrating these fantastic events with curated activations, delicious menus and plenty of excitement. Here’s what’s in store for South Beach and Coral Gables visitors.
Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Loews Coral Gables’ signature restaurant and bar, Americana Kitchen. Get festive with specials on Palomas and Margaritas, while enjoying the Americana Kitchen Birria Bar. Menu highlights curated by Executive Chef Ricardo Jarquin include:
- Birria Bowl: cilantro rice, lamb birria, avocado, charred onions and peppers, pickled red onions, cilantro
- Quesabirria: flour tortilla, Oxaca and Chihuaha cheese, charred poblano peppers, Americana lamb birria
- Birria Tacos: artisanal corn tortillas, Americana lamb birria, sliced white onions, cilantro, aromatic lamb broth

F1 Miami Grand Prix
Start your engines and get ready for the main event, as international racing takes center stage in Miami May 3-5. At The Plaza Coral Gables, home to Loews Coral Gables Hotel, the official Heineken Viewing Party will take place on The Plaza lawn right outside of Americana Kitchen. Watch the final race on the big screen on May 5th, enjoy specialty sips, bites, a live DJ and all the F1 fandom. Tickets can be purchased here.
Oceanfront at Loews Miami Beach, an official F1 retail shop will once again pop-up in the main lobby, giving guests the opportunity to purchase F1 gear from their favorite team and driver. Bar Collins will also welcome back its pop-up F1 Steakhouse with its most lavish menu yet. Guests can indulge in a menu of Japanese charcoal grill steaks, with decadent sides and add-ons. Throughout the weekend, guests can also enjoy premium spirit activations with Pernod Ricard, Patron Reposado and Mayenda Tequila, including a Chandon Garden Spritz cabana takeover.
