Imbibe in Artistry with Hand-Crafted Glassware
Savor the flavors of Arlington from a vessel that doubles as art this holiday season. Live! by Loews - Arlington's Director of Outlets, James Carpenter, collaborated with local artist and graduate student from The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) home to the nation's largest educational glass-blowing studio, to create a cocktail for our Local By Loews program that brings the essence of the City to guests and locals in a unique and memorable way.
Bar Bourbon's new featured cocktail, Native Breeze, is served in a one-of-a-kind hand-blown cocktail glass meticulously crafted and made exclusively for Loews Hotel guests by Aubrey Barnett, a talented graduate student in the Masters of Fine Art Glass Program at UTA. The cocktail is made with Bumbu Rum, orange, pineapple, lemon and cranberry juice, triple sec and a dash of grenadine — a classic rum punch ($25). $5 from every Native Breeze sold will benefit the Glass Program at UTA. Each handcrafted glass is available for purchase with the beverage for $45.
Additionally, Loews Arlington Hotel is proud to showcase the artistic talents of UTA at a special holiday pop-up featuring handcrafted ornaments and festive creations made by faculty members and graduate students in the Lobby from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on December 9.
