Window Walk Educational Nature Trail
Experience the beauty of the Sonoran Desert right here at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Wander our scenic half-mile paved nature trail, where over 200 signs showcase the region’s native plants and wildlife. Along the way, take in the breathtaking sight of our 80-foot waterfall, cascading into a serene brook that feeds our golf course’s signature water feature. Complete your journey with a visit to our custom butterfly garden, designed with the perfect plants to support every stage of a butterfly’s life—plus a peaceful water feature for our fluttering friends. This immersive experience was created in partnership with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, bringing the magic of the desert to life.

Stargazing in Our Dark Sky-Certified Destination
As the birthplace of the dark sky movement and home to the International Dark-Sky Association, Tucson is one of the best destinations in the world for stargazing. At Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, you can witness a dazzling display of stars, planets, and galaxies with an exclusive experience led by the University of Arizona's Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter.
This family-friendly stargazing event is complimentary for resort guests and features observation through a high-powered telescope, offering breathtaking views of the night sky.
Stargazing takes place every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evening on our Tennis Courts at 8pm (weather permitting). Start time may vary based on sunset.
