Universal Orlando Teases Details of New Stella Nova and Terra Luna Sister Hotels
By: Daniel McCarthy
Universal Orlando today unveiled details for its new sister-hotel property, coming to the Orlando resort starting in early 2025.
The hotels—called Stella Nova and Terra Luna—are currently under construction adjacent to the planned space for Universal’s Epic Universe, the fourth Universal Orlando theme park expected to open in 2025.
Both hotels will be co-owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co, which also operates other Universal Hotels including Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific, Sapphire Falls, Cabana Bay, and more.
Combined, the two hotels will add 1,500 guest rooms, split between the two, to the Universal Orlando Resort at “an affordable price point.” While both properties are going to share an outer-space theme, there will be differences between them. Here’s what guests can expect:
Universal Stella Nova Resort
The new Stella Nova Resort will open on Jan. 21, 2025
Universal says the resort will “reflect the vastness of the universe,” with a color scheme of teals and purples. Guestrooms, all of which will be double-queen rooms that can sleep up to four, will have “spaceship-style windows,” which will give guests a unique perspective of the world outside.
Stella Nova will be the home to the Cosmos Café and Market, a quick service restaurant, along with the Galaxy Bar and Grill, its poolside option. The hotel will also include the Nova Bar in its lobby.
Universal Terra Luna Resort
The new Terra Luna Resort will open on Feb. 25, 2025.
Universal says Terra Luna “represents another world within Universal Orlando – inviting guests to explore the unknown and step onto planets that have yet to be discovered,” with a color scheme of greens and gold. Just like Stella Nova, Terra Luna is going to have “spaceship-style windows.”
Terra Luna will be the home to Omega Café and Market, its own quick-service eatery, along with the Moonrise Bar and Moonrise Grill poolside. Its lobby bar will be called the Luna Bar, which will offer its specialty cocktails.
Shared details
Both hotels will also offer some signature Universal touches on property, including separate 10,000 sw. ft. pools with hot tubs and fire pits, along with fitness centers, game rooms, rec rooms, and official Universal Orlando Resort Stores.
Like other resorts on property, staying at either Stella Nova or Terra Luna will get guests some park benefits including early park admission, bus service to the theme parks, complimentary merchandise delivery, and more.
