Tune Fitness Studio at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel Now Open

Nashville’s most technologically advanced hotel gym provides convenience for discerning travelers through digital personalization and data-driven performance metrics

Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, Nashville’s iconic and longest consecutively awarded AAA Four Diamond hotel, has opened its new 1,963-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness studio. The boutique-style amenity is open 24 hours a day and is Nashville’s most technologically advanced hotel gym featuring primarily “connected fitness” equipment, which supports the growing wellness trend of digital personalization and data-driven performance results.

“Tune Fitness Studio,” which is a play on tuning up one's instrument and tuning up one's health, is located on the mezzanine level of the hotel. The collection of fitness options includes 13 cardio machines featuring two Peloton stationary bikes and a selection of Technogym products: one rower, four treadmills, three ellipticals, one stair climber and two recumbent stationary bikes. Strength-training options include one Lululemon Mirror with guided workouts, six plate-loaded strength machines, a 15-pair dumbbell rack ranging from 5-pound to 75-pound free-weights, barbells, benches, and a power rack; and mirrored alcove for agility training, stretching and body-weight workouts.

According to the American College of Sports Medicine, Wearable Technology, Mobile Exercise Apps and Personal Training were identified within its annual 2024 ACSM Worldwide Fitness Trends. Given the vast adoption of wearable fitness trackers, equipment with connected technology was thoughtfully selected to provide guests with the convenience of accessing a network of virtual professional trainers, personalize their workouts, and monitor their progress with data-reporting across all strength training, cardio and stretching zones.

Hugh Anderson, General Manager at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, in partnership with architectural and interior design firm Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio meticulously designed the facility to meet the intrapersonal needs of the hotel’s entertainment, jet-setting and business travelers.

“Health and wellness goals are personal to each person, which is why we knew it was important to provide our guests with an array of connected fitness options to easily monitor their individual activity while staying with us,” explained Hugh Anderson, general manager at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.

The spacious layout exudes an industrial, yet sophisticated aesthetic that dons black, gray and creamy white details paired with warm wood finishes. To partake in a workout inside Tune, guests will enter through a corridor featuring acoustic slat wood paneling that stretches up one wall and continues across the ceiling, before reaching a fitness-inspired black-and-white mural. Inside the gym, five 8.5-foot-tall picture-frame windows adorn a captivating curved wall, which overlooks the Romantic-style architecture of Vanderbilt University and allows for ample natural light to gently illuminate the space.

Specialized ergonomic flooring layered with Vulcanized Composition Rubber was chosen to provide beneficial energy restitution and optimal performance, as well as foot comfort and sound control. As music is an experiential element heard throughout the hotel, guests may opt to enjoy an invigorating playlist played through Tune’s 11 speakers that are acoustically positioned for optimal listening, while three 65-inch SMART televisions are available to air programming at the discretion of our guests.

A complimentary selection of hydrating beverages such as filtered and fruit-infused water, as well as cold-pressed juices, fresh fruit and other nutrient-dense treats will be available daily. For added comfort, guests may enjoy the convenience of moisture-absorbing towels and refreshing chilled cloths.

Two completely private, gender-neutral restrooms have also been built with individual showers, expansive vanity, and frameless mirrors integrated with LED Lighting.

Guests who enjoy mixing their wellness routine with open-air activities are conveniently located less than one mile from Centennial Park’s outdoor paths and vast green spaces. Additionally, the hotel’s Baritone presidential-style designer suite includes a private nook that houses the property’s third stationary Peloton bike.
